Choosing the right septic system depends on your wastewater needs, property's size, soil type, and local regulations. We’ll help you determine the best fit during your site evaluation. There are a multitude of system types. We are licensed to install all system types. Here’s a quick breakdown of the most common systems in the area:
A standard system with a septic tank and a drain field (also called a leach field). Wastewater flows from the tank into the soil through leaching chambers/perforated pipes. Best suited for properties with good soil absorption and plenty of space. This is a gravity fed system, with no maintenance contracts, electrical components, or compressors/aerators to deal with. Regular maintenance is still required for pumping.
Aerobic systems use oxygen to break down waste more efficiently than traditional systems. They include a trash tank, aeration chamber, clarification chamber, pump tank and spray or drip dispersal system. Ideal for smaller lots, poor soil conditions, or areas with stricter health regulations.
This system has electrical components, control panel(s), float trees, pumps, compressor/aerator and secondary treatment. Secondary treatment is typically liquid bleach. This secondary treatment is required by the homeowner. The amount of secondary treatment needed is dependent upon personal wastewater usage.
We handle all aspects of the installation, including engineering drawings, and a 2-year initial maintenance contract, county inspections, as well as the entire permitting process.
A maintenance contract is required by TCEQ in the State of Texas for this type of septic system and is a continuing service that we offer. Details outlined below.
ET systems are used in soils that have a high Plasticity Index or soil classification of IV, meaning it has a high clay content. These systems work on rest cycles. This is a gravity fed system, with no maintenance contracts, electrical components, or compressors/aerators to deal with. Typically, a valve will need to be turned every six months, depending upon loading. Regular maintenance is still required for pumping
These systems are installed in fractured rock or site conditions that have over 30% rock. These are gravity fed systems, no maintenance contracts, electrical components, or compressors/aerators to deal with. Regular maintenance is still required for pumping.
We handle permitting, design, installation, and service — and we’ll explain all your options after a thorough site evaluation. Our team is fully licensed, bonded, and experienced in all system types.
